It all began with a moment of discovery! Five seasoned entrepreneurs had the vision to create a brand that brought incredible taste to the table, believing that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a high-quality, delicious, and affordable meal in an atmosphere of appreciation and respect. In Tavuk Dünyası we strive to provide an exceptional dining experience for our customers, with a commitment to providing the best quality food at an affordable price.

 

Our attentive and professional staff are on hand to ensure that you feel valued and appreciated, creating a unique and enjoyable dining experience. Our chickens are marinated for 12-14 hours using secret recipes, unique sauces, and a variety of spices, and have been recognized as legendary by the prestigious International Taste Institute, receiving their highest 3-star award.

 

Our famous big plates of 49 cm are overflowing with generous portions of succulent, marinated chicken dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world, served with delicious pasta with special sauce and fresh Mediterranean salad for a balanced meal them. In our cosy and comfortable reatourants, we host millions of guest providing them high quality and fast table service with distinctive design and furnishing details.

 

The first restaurants were opened in Turkey in 2012 in İstanbul. The brand quickly expanded, and by 2018 it had become "the number one chicken focused restaurant chain" in the country. Today, Tavuk Dünyası has grown to include over 300 restaurants in 54 cities in Turkey. This success was further bolstered in 2015 by a strategic investment from Mediterra Capital Partners, one of the leading equity firms in the country. Mediterra Capital Partners now holds a majority of Tavuk Dünyası's shares.

  • The first Tavuk Dünyası restaurant welcomed its guests at Süreyyapaşa, Istanbul.
2012
2015
  • With its distinctive concept differentiated in the industry, Tavuk Dünyası reached a significant growth. This success was further bolstered in 2015 by a strategic investment from Mediterra Capital Partners, one of the leading equity firms in the country.

 

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası became a restaurant chain hosting total of 10 million guests in its restaurants since its opening.
  • The first TV communication with "Tavuk Dünyası’nda Şefin Dediği Olur!" communication campaign.

 

  • Superior Taste Award from the International Taste and Quality Institute for "Kekiklim" and "Şefin Tavası" menus Having received over 90 percent of the votes, both menus were deemed "extraordinary" and awarded with 3 stars.
2016
2017
  • As a result of a research conducted by TEPAV for TOBB, Tavuk Dünyası ranked among the top 20 of the 100 fastest growing companies in Turkey with a growth rate of 532% between 2012 and 2015.

 

  • Volkan Mumcu took office as the first professional CEO of Tavuk Dünyası.

 

  • The 100th Tavuk Dünyası restaurant was opened.

 

  • "Kekiklim", "Şefin Tavası" and "Közlüce" menus received 3-Star Superior Taste Award from International Taste and Quality Institute across 5 different categories.
  • As part of the "Golden Brand Award" given by the Association for Protection of All Consumers in the European Union, Tavuk Dünyası was selected as the "Brand Recommended to All Consumers".

 

  • Following a public vote, Tavuk Dünyası received the "Restaurant Chain of the Year" category award at the "2nd Golden Brand Awards of Turkey".

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası became a restaurant chain that has hosted a total of 50 million guests in its restaurants since its opening.
2018
2019
  • Restaurant design of Tavuk Dünyası was renewed in line with the changing needs and evolving concept; the redesign focused on offering a warm and sincere atmosphere as well as comfort.

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası was announced as the "Best Brand of Taste" at the 5th "Turkey Youth Awards" and deemed worthy of an award. In the public voting conducted as part of the Turkey Youth Awards, Tavuk Dünyası received 38% of the votes and was announced as the winner of its category.

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası ranked 6th in the category for employee count of 500-2,000, and received the "Turkey's Best Employers" award as a result of a survey which analyzed different aspects including trust, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit across 92 nominated companies and also took HR practices and employee loyalty survey results as a basis. Tavuk Dünyası was deemed worthy of the "Respect for People Award" as it makes a difference in its industry with a people-oriented service and management approach.

 

  • In the Turkey Reputation Index Survey conducted with the participation of 12,000 people across Turkey, Tavuk Dünyası received the
    "Turkey's Most Reputable White Meat Chain Brand" in the category of restaurant industry.

 

  • The 200th Tavuk Dünyası restaurant was opened.
  • Tavuk Dünyası ranked 5th in the category for employee count of 500-2,000, and received the "Turkey's Best Employers" award as a result of a survey which analyzed different aspects including trust, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit across 200 nominated companies and also took HR practices and employee loyalty survey results as a basis.

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası launched its takeaway service "Şeften İste".

 

  • Increasing number of restaurants in Turkey gave rise to the need to make logistics operations more efficient. For this purpose, a new production facility was opened in Ankara Başkent OSB following the principles of quality at international standards, a hundred percent customer satisfaction, and zero occupational accidents.

2021
  • Tavuk Dünyası opened the doors of its first Cypriot restaurant in Kyrenia.

 

  • The 250th Tavuk Dünyası restaurant was opened.

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası became a restaurant chain that has hosted a total of 100 million guests in its restaurants since its opening.
  • As a result of a survey which analyzed different aspects including trust, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit, and also took HR practices and employee loyalty survey results as a basis, Tavuk Dünyası was once again listed as one of "Turkey's Best Employers".

 

  • The first Spanish restaurant was opened in Madrid under the Gagawa brand.

  • Tavuk Dünyası renewed its logo and visuals with the slogan 'Hayata Renk Katar' (Adding Color to Life).

 

  • Tavuk Dünyası became the OFFICIAL NUTRITION SPONSOR OF NATIONAL BASKETBALL TEAMS!
